1 thoroughly tested
|
|
| |
Since 40 years Resista® elms are widely distributed throughout North
America, and in Europe they have been planted since 1982 in hundreds of
different locations. Their resistance to DED (dutch elm disease - Ophiostoma
novo-ulmi) always proves at any location, and in addition is severely
tested year by year by using the most virulent pathogenes.

2 adapted to almost any soil and location
|
|
| |
Resista® elms are adapted to a wide range of different soils, from sandy
to compacted heavy, from dry to very humid, alongside streets and even on
rubble. They grow best alongside rivers on areas sometimes waterlogged.
As all trees the Resista® elms show best performances on good soils
with adequate water supply, but even under bad conditions they
grow well. They don't mind salt treatment of roads in winter.

5 proven interior and exterior qualities
|
|
| |
Resista® elms are healthy, fast growing trees – within 5 years
the circumference of 15 cm gets up to 30 cm and more. Depending on variety
and location they develop a conical to wide crown with upright branches
and main stem going straight through to the top. They are tolerant to adverse
condition in city centres.

6 safe resistance
|
|
| |
Resista® elms grow on their own roots - they are never grafted. Thus the
resistance versus DED is safeguarded. The resistance to Dutch Elm Disease
(Ophiostoma novo-ulmi) is being regularily tested in cooperation with the
German Federal Institute for Plant Diseases (B.B.A.) in Darmstadt.
